Training session by Nataliia Rylach for the Crimean Platform Office team
At the invitation of the team of the Crimea Platform Office, Candidate of Economic Sciences and Associate Professor of the Department of International Organizations and Diplomatic Service Nataliia Rylach delivered a lecture-training on diplomatic protocol and etiquette for the staff of the Representation and the Crimea Platform Office.
During the session, participants not only enhanced their professional competencies and deepened their knowledge in the field of diplomatic practice, but also gained a solid theoretical foundation and a clear understanding of the practical application of diplomatic protocol norms in everyday work.
The lecture covered key aspects of organizing official events, including:
- preparation and conduct of visits of foreign delegations
- specifics of organizing negotiations and international conferences
- rules of international courtesy and the use of state symbols
- etiquette of gift exchange and diplomatic receptions
Special attention was given to business dress code as an important component of professional communication, shaping the image of a representative of a state institution and influencing the effectiveness of international interaction.

Following the theoretical part of the lecture, Nataliia Rylach provided comprehensive and insightful answers to all participants’ questions and shared practical advice and real-life cases from her professional experience, which generated significant interest among the audience.
It is particularly valuable that the Institute’s alumni, who currently work at the Crimea Platform Office, maintain close ties with their alma mater and actively contribute to engaging students of the Institute of International Relations in internships and traineeships at the Representation. This creates additional opportunities for students’ professional development and strengthens cooperation between academia and public institutions.
