What should a modern educational environment in Ukraine look like?

This question became one of the key topics at the "Education of the New Ukraine 2.0" conference. The event brought together Oksen Lisovyi, Minister of Education and Science of Science ofUkraine, heads and faculty members of higher education institutions, thought leaders, and highschool students from various regions across the country.

Representatives from Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations also joined theconference.

Oksen Lisovyi emphasized the urgent need to align education with current labor market demands. According to the head of the Ministry of Education and Science, while Ukrainian educationmaintains its high quality, it requires infrastructure modernization—specifically, the developmentof modern learning spaces and research centers.

"Ukraine is a country of change. And students should not be mere observers, but the driving forcebehind building the new Ukraine," said Oksen Lisovyi.

During the panel discussion, Valerii Kopiika, Acting Rector of Taras Shevchenko NationalUniversity of Kyiv, shared his vision for the development of Ukrainian universities amid globalcompetition and integration into the worldwide educational space.

According to Kopiika, the primary goal is to create conditions where students choose to study inUkraine not because of restrictions, but because they can receive a high-quality, modern, andcompetitive education here.
