Final of the All-Ukrainian Essay Contest ‘The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Bringing Russia to Justice’

On 4 April 2025, the finals of the All-Ukrainian essay contest ‘The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Bringing Russia to Justice’, organised by the Department of Comparative and European Law with the support of the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the National Bar Association of Ukraine and Popko Brothers & Partners Law Firm, took place at the Educational and Research Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. 

130 participants from 30 higher education institutions of Ukraine took part in the competition, submitting essays on AI in bringing Russia to justice. Only 17 participants made it to the finals, where they competed in oral debates at the Institute of International Relations.

The debate was followed by a final discussion with Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, and Mykhailo Fedorov, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
