Visit by representatives of Lund University
As part of their visit to Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, representatives of Lund University — Jörgen Norén, Administrative Manager at Lund University School of Economics and Management, and Oleksandra Panasenko, Communications Assistant at Lund University School of Economics and Management — visited the Institute of International Relations.
The guests were welcomed by Vasyl Yevhenovych Namoniuk, Deputy Director of IIR for Academic Affairs.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the organization of the educational process, the specific nature of studying in wartime conditions, students' language training, academic mobility opportunities, as well as the Institute's internal and external communications.
In addition, the guests attended a foreign language exam and spoke with Professor Valentyna Viktorivna Daineko, Head of the IIR Department of Foreign Languages.

A special part of the program included a tour of the simultaneous interpretation booths, where future translators and simultaneous interpreters undergo practical training. The guests also spoke with Professor Oleksandr Moiseiovych Gon, the head of the "International Relations and Translation" academic program.
During the visit, the Lund University staff members joined the graduation ceremony for Master's degree students and toured the Institute's library. Head of the Library, Nataliia Andriivna, introduced the guests to its collections and shared insights into the library's operations.
Jörgen Norén and Oleksandra Panasenko paid special attention to touring the bomb shelter and learning about the organization of the educational process during air alerts.

"Today, Ukraine's experience is unique, as no other country lives under the conditions of a full-scale war the way Ukrainians experience it every single day," noted Jörgen Norén.
Jörgen Norén commemorated the resilience of Ukrainians and emphasized that today Sweden, like other European countries, must be prepared for potential security challenges. For this reason, it is extremely important to study and adopt Ukraine's experience.
