I year
Entry to the speciality “International law”
The course is aimed at the professional orientation and familiarization of the first-year students of “International law”, the future international jurists, with the basics of their future profession, basics of theory and practice of international law. Moreover, the course is dedicated to studying such general theoretic issues as the subject and system of international law, its differences from national law etc.   

The theory of international relations 
The course is aimed at studying the notions and essence of international relations, the pattern of the development of international relations, its system and types. Furthermore, the course is dedicated to studying such general theoretical issues as the subject and system of the theory of international relations and the methodological basics of the modern theory of international relations.

II year
The history of the international law
“The history of international law” envisages the studying of the categorical and conceptual apparatus of the history of international law, the basic steps of the emergence of its subject, the formation of the conceptual and theoretic visions, the structure of the history of international law and capacities of its studying and absorption.

The International public law (the basics of the theory of international law)
The course is aimed at studying traditional issues: notions and characteristic features of international law; the sources, system, principles and norms of international law. For the professional development of the students, there are considered the topics that enable them to pass the analysis of the concrete international legal problems: the interaction between international law and national law; the institution of the international legal personality, the recognition of international law, the State succession etc.

III year
The International public law (basics of the theory of international law) (continuing) 
The subject of studying the educational discipline is the legal processes in the sphere of interstate relations, the meaning of the doctrine, the basic theories and conceptions of international law, international legal notions and terms, principles and norms of international law, theoretical basics of the law-making and law enforcement activities of the actors of the international law.

The International public law (the main branches and institutions)
The course is aimed at studying the system of international law, law-making and law enforcement activities of the actors of the international law and such international legal branches as the territory in the international law, the international maritime law, international air law, international space law, international criminal law, the law of the international dispute settlement, international environmental law etc.

International ecological law
The course is aimed at familiarising the students with the peculiarities of the international legal regulation of the cooperation among states in the field of environmental protection; the elaboration of the students’ vision about the place of international legal acts in the sphere of environment protection in the system of international law and their practical application in the decisions of the international judicial and quasi-judicial bodies.

IV year 
The International public law (the main branches and institutions) (continuing)
The course is aimed at familiarising fourth-year students of “International law” with the main branches and institutions of modern international public law, elaborating the capacities of the comprehension of the international legal phenomena characteristics, and disclosure of the main directions of international law development.

The law of foreign relations
The course is aimed at the professional orientation and the familiarization of the fourth-year students of “International law” with the emergence, the history of development, modern problems and the legal regulation of foreign relations in the sphere of the diplomatic and consular law, the law of special missions and the diplomatic law of the international organizations.

The law of treaties
“The law of treaties” envisages the students’ successful mastering of the theoretical and normative material, the development of the capacity to justify logically and professionally and express their own point of view with respect to the issue of the law of treaties, the creation of the capacities of the comprehension and concluding international legal agreements.

The disciplines of the specialization (IV year)
The International air law
The course envisages the studying of the emergence and the development of the modern international air law system, international legal standards in the field of international air transportation, legal processes in the sphere of the usage of international air space by the international air law subjects, the peculiarities of the international legal cooperation among states in the field of the air transportation. 

The International space law 
The course envisages studying the characteristics of the international legal regulation of the relations among states that emerge during the exploration and usage of space, the peculiarities of the legal regime of space and the celestial bodies, the legal status of space objects and their crews, institution of the responsibility in the international space law, the modern institutional mechanism of the space activity regulation.

The International maritime law
The course is aimed at the professional orientation and the familiarization of the fourth-year students of “International law” with the emergence, the history of development, the modern problems and the international legal regulation of the international maritime law institutions.

The International security law
The discipline envisages the studying of the norms of international law that regulate the international public law subjects’ relations in the sphere of the maintenance and restoration of international peace and security 

The International legal mechanisms of human rights protection
The course is aimed at studying the historical processes of international human rights law emergence and its modern state, as the law-making and law enforcement activity of international law subjects in this field of legal relations. 
Special attention is paid to the consideration of the universal mechanisms of human rights protection that function within the frameworks of the United Nations or have been created by the main universal documents on the human rights issue.



The Master’s degree 
 

V year
The World Trade Organization law
The course is aimed at studying the historical processes of the emergence, establishment and development of the multilateral trade system, its functions, the WTO agreements system, the procedures of the entry, law-making and law enforcement activity of the World Trade Organization and its members.

The International humanitarian law
The course is aimed at studying the notion and the historical development of international humanitarian law, its sources and principles, the characteristics of the international legal regulation of the protection of the wounded, ill and the persons that suffered the shipwreck, the legal protection of the prisoners of war, civilian population and the civilian objects during the military conflicts and the correlation of the international humanitarian law and the international human rights law.

The law and economy (including intellectual property)
The course is aimed at studying the processes of the legal norms functioning in the institutional space, and the practical usage of the theoretical postulates of the theory of law and economy.

The International customs law 
The course is aimed at the professional orientation and familiarization of the first-year students of the magistracy of “International law” with the emergence, the history of development, the modern problems and the international legal regulation of customs relations.

The International criminal law
The course is aimed at studying international criminal law as the branch of international law and the educational discipline, the processes of the emergence and the modern state of international criminal justice, characteristics and composition of international crimes, the principles of the international criminal liability of the individuals, the legal principles of the cooperation among states in the struggle against criminality. 

The International investment law 
The course is aimed at studying the system of international agreements directed to the creation of international standards for investment regulation, the processes of international investment, the procedures of the judicial and out-of-court protection of investors’ rights, and the problems of the establishment and development of the investment environment.

The disciplines of the specialization (V year; Master’s degree)
The history of the international legal doctrines
The course is aimed at studying the historical prerequisites of the emergence and establishment of international law science, the periodization of its development, the main scientific schools, conceptions of the leading philosophers of the ancient world, the medieval era, the era of capitalism and the modern time and the peculiarities of the development of the science in Russia and Ukraine.

The law of the international responsibility
The discipline “Law of international responsibility” envisages the studying of the content of the Articles on the responsibility of states for international illegal acts and the studying of the principles of other subjects’ responsibility in international public law.

The international justice
The discipline “International justice” involves the students’ studying the principles of the United Nations International Court of Justice activity and other judicial bodies.

The International tax law
The course involves the studying of the tax system of diverse states, the legal relations among them related to the regulation of the international cooperation of states in the tax sector, the main directions of the struggle of states both against tax evasion and the laundering of “dirty money”.

The International transport law 
The course envisages the studying of the emergence and development of the modern international transport law system, the international institutional mechanism in the sphere of transport and the characteristics of the international cooperation of the states in the transport sector, and the legal relations in the sphere of international transportation.

VI year
The methodology and the organization of the scientific research on the theory and practice of the international law
The purpose of the course is to the students of “International law” acquaintance with the topical problems of the creation and usage of international law norms, its interaction with the national judicial systems, the European Union law, the international private law; the creation of the student’s vision of the peculiarities of the international law functioning at the modern stage, the prominence of the international law for ensuring the rule of law in the international community, the characteristic features of the international law regional subsystems, the significance of the international law for the development of Ukraine’s national legal system.

The basics of the career guidance
The course is aimed at the acquaintance with the conditions and peculiarities of the employment of master’s graduates in public civil service, the conducting of private legal practice, and the educational and pedagogical activity and service in international organizations and institutions.

The International environmental law
The course is aimed at studying the notion, subject and sources of international environmental law, the emergence and development of this branch, and the peculiarities of the international ecological law institutional mechanism.

The human right in the international law
The course is aimed at studying the historical processes of international human rights law emergence and its modern state, the international law subjects’ law-making and law enforcement activity in this sphere of legal relations.
Special attention is dedicated to considering the universal human rights protection mechanisms that function within the United Nations framework or have been created by the main universal human rights documents.

Occupational safety in the branch
The course is aimed at the formation of future specialists with the skills the ensuring the effective management of labour protection and improve working conditions, taking into account the scientific and technological progress and international experience and the awareness of the indispensable unity of the successful professional activity and the obligatory abidance of all the requirements of the working security.

The law of settlement of international disputes
The course is aimed at studying the mechanisms of the settlement of international disputes in the modern international law system notably negotiations, mediation, international investigative procedure, international conciliation procedure (conciliation), classical, commercial and mixed international arbitration, the International Court of Justice, the United Nations activity and regional international organizations on the settlement of the international disputes.

The topical problems of the theory and practice of the international law
The course is aimed at studying international law actual problems: the international legal regulation of the usage of force in the post-bipolar system of international relations, the human rights protection in conditions of the “global war against terrorism”, the rule of law in the international relations, unilateralism and multilateralism in the international law, the problems of creation and application of the international law norms, international legal hermeneutics etc.

The International energy law 
The objective of the educational discipline is the student’s comprehension of the international legal side of modern international relations in the sphere of energetics. The main tasks are the acquaintance of students with the key international legal documents and mechanisms in this sphere that deliberately or occasionally serve to protect the international energy supply from diverse risks.
