The EU Foreign Affairs: experience and contribution of the Visegrad Group countries

With the support of the International Visegrad Fund

The project "The EU Foreign Affairs: experience and contribution of the Visegrad Group countries» (№ 61450044) was launched at the Institute of International Relations of Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University in September 2015. The project is implemented by the Chair of International Relations and Foreign Policy of the Institute within the program “V4EaP Visegrad University Studies Grant Program” of the International Visegrad Fund.

The project will last for 3 years (2015-2017) and is aimed at preparing the training course "The EU Foreign Affairs: experience and contribution of the Visegrad Group countries" within the Master program in International Relations: specializations "European Studies" and “East European Studies” (English language Master program).

The project envisages the organization of lectures and practical classes of professors from V4 countries (lecturers from Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic). The project also provides for the publication of teaching materials.

Professors:

  1. Margarita Mironova, PhD, associate professor, Chair of International Relations and Foreign Policy, Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The author of nearly 50 books, articles, reports and policy papers on European integration, transatlantic relations, EU foreign policy, and EU-Ukrainian relations.
  2. Andrzej Szeptycki, PhD, assistant professor (adjunktus), Institute of International Relations of the University of Warsaw (Poland). Dr Szeptycki is the Vice-president of the Polish Society of Eastern Europe. The author of more than 50 books, articles, reports and policy papers on the issues of European integration, foreign policy of Poland and its Eastern dimension, and Polish-Ukrainian relations.
  3. Pavel Pšeja, PhD, assistant professor, Department of International Relations and European Studies, Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University, Brno (Czech Republic). Dr Pšeja is a member of the Czech Political Science Association and the American Political Science Association. The author of nearly 70 books, articles and reports on the theory of International Relations, changes and post-communist transformations in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, Czech foreign policy and its democracy promotion.
  4. Péter Marton, PhD, senior assistant professor (“egyetemi adjunktus”) at the Institute of International Relations, Corvinus University of Budapest (Hungary); Program Director of the English-language MA in International Relations program. The author of more than 50 books, articles and reports on the theory of International Relations and comparative foreign policy; peace, security and conflict studies; foreign policy of Hungary; comparative analysis of V4 foreign policy-making and V4 policy in the EU and NATO.
