Education: graduated in 1984 with honors from the Faculty of Economics and Law of the Peoples' Friendship University named after Patrice Lumumba with the qualification of Master of Legal Sciences and translator from English and Hindi. In 1999, he defended a candidate's thesis on comparative bankruptcy at Kyiv National University, and a doctoral thesis on cross-border bankruptcy in 2010. The author of more than 260 publications, including about 25 publications in foreign languages: English, Polish, Russian, Chinese. He is the author of the book "Law and Legal System of Ukraine" and the brochure "Research Guide to Ukrainian Law", published in the USA. He was awarded the Memorial Medal of the Institute of International Relations (2012), the Diploma of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University (2013), and the honorary title of Kentucky Colonel (1997).

He is the author of scientific and scientific-expert publications, including in foreign publications. He is also a member of the editorial boards of a number of scientific legal journals.
In 1990-2014, he participated in the development of many draft laws of Ukraine. He was a member of working groups on the development of draft laws "On foreign economic activity of Ukraine", "On protection of new varieties of plants", legislation of Ukraine on privatization of state and communal property.
Since 2005, as a member of the National Commission for Strengthening Democracy and Establishing the Rule of Law, he worked on the project of the Concept of improving the judicial system and ensuring fair justice in Ukraine in accordance with European standards, draft laws of Ukraine "On Advocacy and Advocacy".
Since October 2014, he has been a member of the Judicial Reform Council, established on the basis of a decree of the President of Ukraine. He is working on draft laws "On the judiciary and the status of judges", "On the High Council of Justice" and other laws that regulate the activity of the judicial system of Ukraine.
He has repeatedly participated as an expert on Ukrainian legislation and international law in the resolution of legal disputes in foreign and international courts, as well as in international commercial arbitrations.
He carried out his professional activities as a member of the advisory group of the Commission on Foreign Economic Relations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, a member of the advisory group of the Kyiv City State Administration, a member of the Chamber of Independent Experts on Foreign Investments under the President of Ukraine, a member of the public panel of the State Tax Administration of Ukraine, a member of the Public Council of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, adviser to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, member of the Public Council under the Security Service of Ukraine.
