BANKRUPTCY CENTER is a joint project of the Business School of the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and the Public Organization "Ukrainian Bankruptcy Institute."
BANKRUPTCY CENTER is an expert center, educational platform and discussion platform.
The BANKRUPTCY CENTER will carry out its activities by organizing public events (round tables, open lectures, webinars, trainings, practical seminars) and conducting research in this area of law, including the preparation of examinations and legal opinions. The Center will involve domestic scientists, educators, judges, international experts and foreign experts.
The activities of the BANKRUPTCY CENTER are aimed at a wide audience - scientists and teachers of law and economics, judges and civil servants, arbitration managers and lawyers and practicing lawyers, students and anyone interested in effective legal procedures for solving debt problems.

BANKRUPTCY CENTER begins its work with an open lecture, the purpose of which is to present bankruptcy as an integrated system of legal norms and legal procedures, which is an effective legal mechanism for solving the problems of debt of any person. In content, this lecture is an introduction to bankruptcy with an analysis of legal relations and all the components of legislation. Further, individual elements of the system will be proposed for discussion at round tables, webinars and trainings.
The lecturer is Oleksandr Biryukov - a well-known scientist in Ukraine and the world, an educator, an international expert with 27 years of experience in teaching, conducting research and participating in the development of bills and international instruments.
The open lecture will present this area of law and legislation, namely: the nature of legal relations, the purpose and objectives of legislation, the components of the system with its subsystems and individual elements of legislation, the specifics of procedural rules and the consequences of applying bankruptcy procedures to certain categories of persons. This material will be presented together with a review of the Ukrainian bankruptcy model. An important feature of this event is to familiarize students with bankruptcy through the prism of international standards and best world practice and taking into account current trends in the development of this area of legislation in the world.
This and subsequent lectures are designed for those who teach, study or practice bankruptcy, primarily arbitration managers, lawyers and practicing lawyers. The lecture will interest business representatives - owners and managers of companies and entrepreneurs. Participation in the event will be useful for judges and civil servants who have to make decisions daily in specific situations and preferably taking into account the provisions of international documents. We invite students - lawyers and economists, as well as anyone who wants to learn more about effective procedures for solving critical debt problems.
Students will be issued a certificate.
The organizational fee is 600 UAH (early registration - 400 UAH), for students 150 UAH (early registration 100 UAH). Early registration lasts until March 15, 2024 (inclusive).
Participation of KNU students and military is free of charge.
