January 2019
On January 21-23, 2018, a group of teachers of the Institute of International Relations, consisting of associate professor R. Kryvonos and assistants S. But and O. Mishin, took part in the training program " Teaching in a Multicultural Environment " ("Teaching in a multicultural environment"), which is part of the project " Rethinking regional studies: The Baltic - Black Sea connection " ("Rethinking Regional Studies: Baltic-Black Sea Connections"), financed by the European Union's Erasmus + program. The training program provided a short-term internship of Ukrainian university teachers from Kyiv, Odesa, Lviv and Mariupol at the Johan Skitte Institute of Political Studies of the University of Tartu (TU) in Tartu (Estonia).
From January 21 to February 8, 2019, students of the Institute of International Relations underwent an internship at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine. The practice took place in such departments of the organization as the Directorate of Corporate Communications, the Directorate of Foreign Economic Activities, the Directorate of International Cooperation, etc.
ISM (2019) - was once again held in the city of Cologne (Germany), together with representatives of the Ukrainian confectionery company AVK Alexander Legotin, Vasyl Havshin, and Andrey Radchuk. The exhibition was also visited by the students of IIR, namely, Vladyslav Gladysh, Anna Sursaeva, Sofia-Diana Yakymyak, Vlad Kushnir, Anastasia Zharkova, Oleksandra Novak, Elizaveta Onufryenko, Anastasia Kudlyak.

On April 26, 2019, the final conference of the All-Ukrainian competition for student research papers in the speciality "International relations, public communications and regional studies" was held within the walls of the Institute, during which the winners and participants were determined and awarded.
May 2019
On May 4, 2019, the simulation game "Model of the UN Security Council" was held at the School of a Young Ukrainian Diplomat of the Business School of the Institute of International Relations under the chairmanship of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine, President of the Ukrainian Association of Foreign Policy Volodymyr Dmytrovych Khandogiy and with the support and participation of the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Oleksandr Yosypovych Yaremy, as well as Olena Laba, Public Relations Specialist of the UN Office in Ukraine, who spoke at the opening with a presentation "UN Activities in Ukraine and the World". Vladyslav Chernykh and Eliza Aslanova, students of the Taras Shevchenko National University Institute of International Relations, also took part in the organization and conduct of the game.
On May 11, 2019, the Institute of International Relations hosted a Saturday evening as part of IIR Green Days. The students and management of the Institute of Medical Sciences voluntarily joined the cleaning and received a lot of drive and unforgettable emotions.
On May 14, 2019, the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University was visited by a delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Ukraine, headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Mr Azer Khudiev. The parties discussed cooperation between the higher education institutions of Ukraine and Azerbaijan. At the meeting, the Memorandum on cooperation between the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University and Nakhichevan State University was signed. After the meeting with the Director of the Institute Valery Volodymyrovych Kopiyka, Mr Ambassador gave a lecture to the students of the Institute on the topic "The role of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the formation of regional security of the Caspian and Black Sea basins", and also talked with the students.
On May 15, 2019, as part of Human Rights Protection Week, a lecture was held at the IIR on the topic: "Prospects of cases against the Russian Federation in the context of human rights violations and international crimes in Crimea and Donbas."

On May 23, 2019, the opening of the "Ersatz" painting exhibition was held at the Institute of International Relations. This format of the exhibition is new for our Institute because the works of young artists are interpretations of the works of world-famous artists.
Recently, the department of international media communications and communication technologies (head of the department - Doctor of Political Science, Assoc. Danylenko SI) held a Skype lecture for students of two state universities in Moldova.

On July 9, 2019, Director of Taras Shevchenko KNU Institute of International Relations Valery Volodymyrovych Kopiyka and Rector of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy Hafiz Mir Jalal only Pashayev signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of master's programs in Baku (Azerbaijan Republic).
On July 15-18, 2019, students in the 4th year of the Institute of International Relations, majoring in "international economic relations" - Anna Sursaeva, Maksym Karapetyan and Vladyslav Kushnir, under the scientific supervision of the associate professor of the Department of International Finance Oleksandr Pidchosa - took part in the final stage of the youth competition "Youth Innovation Competition on Global Governance 2019", held in Jakarta, Indonesia. On September 2, 2019, the traditional solemn ceremony of consecrating first-year students into students of the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University was held. But this year is special because next month we will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Institute of International Relations.
