IIR takes a step towards the education of the future with ChatGPT Edu!

"Our principle is simple: don't ban technology, but manage it and direct it towards the benefit of education," says Valery Kopiika, director of the Institute of International Relations.
The Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv has officially applied to join ChatGPT Edu, an educational version of generative artificial intelligence created specifically for learning, research, and the development of the academic community.
The use of GenAI opens up new opportunities for all participants in the educational process: students receive personalised support, step-by-step explanations, mentoring and assistance in modelling cases, while teachers receive tools for quickly creating teaching materials, scientific work and analytics.
This approach defines the institute's strategy for implementing innovative tools that help not only to optimise learning but also to develop students' critical thinking and digital competence.
Particular attention is paid to fostering a culture of ethical and responsible use of AI. ChatGPT Edu operates at the corporate level of data protection, ensuring encryption of information during its transmission and storage, as well as complete confidentiality within the institute environment.
The technical capabilities of ChatGPT Edu are of particular value, including increased limits, the ability to work with data in various formats, and quick information search thanks to built-in web browsing.
However, the most innovative feature of the platform is the creation of subject-specific GPT assistants for departments, courses, and research projects, enabling teachers and students to collaborate on research within the institution in over 50 languages.
Thus, together with ChatGPT Edu, the NIIM is making a safe, controlled, and measurable transition to the intellectual educational infrastructure of the future!
