Within the framework of the "Educational Innovation and Leadership" microstep, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of World Economy and International Economic Relations Lyudmyla SHVORAK took part in a two-week internship at Tallinn University.

The program included a number of lectures by leading education experts (Eve Eisenschmidt (Tallinn University), Peeter Mehisto (University College London Institute of Education), meetings with the head of the strategic development office of Tallinn University (Mikk Kasesalk), representative of HAKA (Estonian Quality Agency for Education, Helen Arus), meetings with teachers of Tallinn University (Annika Volt, Katrin Poom-Valickis), as well as visits to two schools (Kadrioru Saksa Gümnaasium and Pelgulinna Gümnaasium).

Within the framework of the program, the mechanisms of the Estonian educational ecosystem, the development process and key successes of the Estonian educational strategy, Estonian curricula for various degrees of education, digital technologies for training and their adaptation in Estonian educational institutions, effective training programs for teachers were considered.

Much attention was also paid to effective educational methods, the autonomy of teachers and students, the role of active learning methods and self-regulating learning to acquire the competencies necessary for the professions of the future, educational leadership, motivation issues, the involvement of all stakeholders in the educational system, and others.

The project was attended by 21 teachers from Ukraine, Georgia, Kenya and India.
