Publication of "Commentary on the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU, the Treaty on European Union and the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the EU" in Ukrainian

Alla Fedorova, Associate Professor of the Department of Comparative and European Law at the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, is the co-author of a unique publication entitled "Commentary on the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU, the Treaty on European Union and the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the EU" in Ukrainian.

The book was compiled by 35 leading experts in European and constitutional law from the Czech Republic under the guidance of Professor Michal Tomášek and Associate Professor Václav Šmejkal (Charles University in Prague).

The publication includes Alla Fedorova's article "The Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union as a Key Document on Ukraine's Path to EU Membership" with a short commentary.

An important part of Alla Fedorova's work was her participation in the collective translation of this publication.

During a visit to Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, the book was ceremoniously presented to the university by Luboš Veselý, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Ukraine.

The editors of the original Czech commentary are convinced that a high-quality commentary on the basic legal documents of the European Union is a necessary and extremely useful resource for anyone who works with European law or is simply interested in it.

Understanding the content of these fundamental norms, knowing their origin and significance for the practical activities of the EU and its Member States is a necessary prerequisite for both understanding the process of European integration and participating fully in it.
