We are pleased to announce the publication of Recommendations for improving Ukraine's labour and social legislation in line with EU standards. These Recommendations were prepared under the editorship of Associate Professor of Comparative and European Law Fedorova A.L. based on the results of the International Round Table "Legislative Reforms in Ukraine and European Labour and Social Standards in the Context of Ukraine's Integration into the EU", which took place on 22-23 May 2025.

The event was organised by the Faculty of Law of Palacký University in Olomouc (Czech Republic) as part of the MSCA4Ukraine project No. 1233330 "Approximation of Ukrainian social and labour legislation to EU legislation", funded by the European Union, in cooperation with the Council of Europe Project "Strengthening the Social Dimension in Ukraine" and the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Associate Professors Fedorova A.L. and Svyatun O.V., as well as leading experts in labour and social law from Ukraine and various European countries, participated in the development of the Recommendations.

We hope that these Recommendations will be actively discussed among experts, scholars, practitioners, social partners, government officials and legislators. They will also contribute to the reforms that will take place within the framework of the official screening of the compliance of Ukrainian legislation with EU law under Chapter 19 "Social Policy and Employment", which began in the spring of 2025.
