Ukraine - Georgian tele-bridge "Resilience and Solidarity for Peace and Security "
The event took place at the University of Georgia (Tbilisi) and was supported by the Department of International Media Communications and Communication Technologies of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations of KNU.
On the Georgian side, participants were greeted by Mariam Gersamia, professor of Tbilisi State University, founder of the non-governmental organization "MediaVoice", and Yvonne Gogoll, International Aid / Cooperation Manager at the Directorate-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) of the European Commission. Sandro Megrelishvili, a fellow of the Eastern Partnership, made a presentation on the topic "War in Ukraine: future of democracy and freedom at stake."
From the Ukrainian participants, Olena Shevchenko spoke about the regulation of the Ukrainian media market during the wartime, Olena Astaf'eva shared her experience of how Ukrainian scientists combine media and archeology to counter russian historical fakes. Students of the Institute of International Relations and the University of Georgia actively participated in the discussion.
