Chair of International Media Communication and Communication Technologies

The Department of International Media Communications and Communicative Technologies (IMCCT) was established in October 2012 as a new unit in the direction of "international communications" to train specialists in the field of international communication and world media, in particular international journalism. From 2012 to December 2015, it was headed by Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Valeriy Kopiyka. Since January 2016, the department has been headed by Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Serhiy Danylenko.
The task of the department is to create conditions for students to acquire knowledge competitive in the labor market and improve the skills of a specialist in the field of modern communication technologies and media communications, in particular international media studies, which are based on mastering three professional components:
- Deep knowledge and relevant competencies in the field of professional activity - the field of international relations
- Professional proficiency in several foreign languages, in particular English in the media
- Practical improvement of creative abilities in writing journalistic texts and preparing television and radio programs for national and world media, media relations, media analytics
The professional potential of a graduate of the department is enhanced by his ability to apply the capabilities of modern communication technologies, in particular, such as public relations, branding, government relations, lobbying, reputation management, - to solve problems in the political, economic and media spheres

The department provides teaching on educational programs of educational level "bachelor" and "master" a number of normative professionally-oriented disciplines, including: "Public Relations", "Theory of Communication", "Conflictology", "Imagelogy", as well as the block of elective disciplines - "Theory and Practice of Negotiation", "Media relations", "International Media Communications", "Theory and Practice of International Advertising", "Press Service", "Decision Theory in International Relations", "Mass Communication ","Brand Communications", "Rhetoric (Speechwriting) in government cases", "Internet PR", "Visual Analytics and Forecasting", "Information Geopolitics", "Reputation Management", "Ethnopsychology".
